23rd March is a national holiday in Pakistan to commemorate the Lahore Resolution of 1940. Armed forces hold different events across the country in connection to this day. It was informed by the authorities that mobile signals were jammed to avoid any security related incident, and ensure foolproof security for the full-dress rehearsal of Pakistan armed forces.
Mobile services remained suspended on Monday, 21st March between 5am and 3pm in Islamabad and Rawalpindi on the directives of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). Mobile networks were disconnected in the name of security.
