Mobile internet services suspended in cities of Punjab and Islamabad

Date: 9th October, 2025 Timing: 12:00 am till present Location: Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Wah Cantt, Taxila Description: Internet services, particularly mobile data (3G/4G), have been suspended in Islamabad and Rawalpindi since midnight on October 9, 2025, by order of Pakistan's Ministry of Interior. This indefinite blackout affects daily communications, banking, and online activities in the twin cities. The primary reason is to prevent and disrupt a large-scale protest march organized by the hardline Islamist group Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP).
